Donation Rentals

To enable children, youth and seniors recreation groups to use he hall, the Wellington Community Association makes the hall available either free of charge or on a "donation" basis to neighbourhood community groups providing non-profit recreation services to Wellington area residents. Donation rentals are subsidized by the Wellington Community Association through the efforts of its volunteer members.  Due to the Community Associations limited ability to subsidize other groups, and the necessity of renting the hall out to cover operating costs, rental times available for use on a donation basis are limited to a few week-nights and weekdays.  Traditionally the groups using the hall on a donation basis must have members who actively participate in maintaining and operating the hall through the Wellington Community Association, and who are willing to help the hall in major fundraising activities.  Groups wishing to use the Hall on a donation basis need to send a letter to the Wellington Community Association outlining what their activities are, when they would like to use the hall, and how they can contribute to operating the Hall in terms of volunteered or donated time, resources and/or money.

Reduced Rate Rentals

As a community hall, the association tries to encourage recreation activities.  On a limited basis the Community Association rents the hall to non-profit groups at a reduced rate.  For example, weekly or monthly dance classes held as part of a public dance may be available for a reduced rate rental.  Groups wishing to rent the hall for ongoing recreation activities which are open to the public should send a letter to the Wellington Community Association outlining what activities they wish to hold at the hall, when they would like to hold their activities, and how much of a discount they would like off of our regular rental rates.

Regular Rentals

Regular rentals are all the rentals who use the hall either for social events, exercise classes, meetings or other activities and pay the rental rate posted on our rates page.  Businesses who rent the hall must pay our regular rates.  Regular rentals are critical to the hall as these rentals enable the Hall to pay its bills.
